National Suicide Prevention Week is September 10th – September 16th.

Suicide Warming Signs:

Increased substance (alcohol or drug) use
No reason for living; no sense of purpose in life
Anxiety, agitation, unable to sleep or sleeping all of the time
Feeling trapped – like there’s no way out
Hopelessness
Withdrawal from friends, family and society
Rage, uncontrolled anger, seeking revenge
Acting reckless or engaging in risky activities, seemingly without thinking
Dramatic mood changes

This week we started off the year by revealing the new changes that occurred to the school over the summer.

We featured (9.1) an interview with science teacher, Erich Means, about what to expect out of this year’s student section, X-factor; (9.6) and in The Word, we asked students what their favorite memory was over summer; (9.7) and another interview with librarian, Patty Golditch, who explains the new set up of the library; (9.8) and to end the week, an interview about Freshman Parent Orientation Night with Roisin LeRoy.

Second Home Football Game 2017

The Wildcats host the Rocklin Thunder, in their third regular season game, on September 8th, 2017.

Check out our free live coverage of the game HERE, if you can’t make it to Wildcat stadium.

Starting at 7:15 p.m., we will open with a pre-game show with anchors Alex Amerine and George Loureiro, and sideline reporter Faith Abercrombie. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30.
